I am a fourth year PhD candidate in Harmonic analysis at UCLA, under the supervision of Terence Tao. I was born in Barcelona, where I lived most of my life. I moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to finish my Bachelor’s, and to Zurich in 2017 to do a Master’s in mathematics. Now I’m back at UCLA, where I’m trying to learn more about the Fourier transform.
I’m spending January-March in the New York area, spending my time between NYU, Princeton and the IAS. Over the summer I will be working at Microsoft Research with Adil Salim, on the computational complexity of sampling from probability distributions. After that I will be a Postdoc at ETHZ with Svitlana Mayboroda, working on Schrodinger operators.
I am currently supported by the UCLA dissertation year fellowship. Before that I was a teaching assistant at UCLA, a “La Caixa” post-graduate fellow, and an ESOP fellow at ETHZ.
My name is pronouced [ˈʒawmə] , my pronouns are he/him.
